Anti-mobbing and anti-discrimination procedure

To ensure a safe, inclusive, and mutually respectful working environment, the W. Szafer Institute of Botany of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IB PAS) has introduced the anti-mobbing and anti-discrimination procedure. Drawn up by the anti-mobbing and anti-discrimination committee and introduced by the Director's Order No. 6/2025 of 25 February 2025, this document is a key element in building a modern and responsible organisation.

The Procedure aims to prevent and address mobbing and discrimination, take effective intervention measures and impose consequences on those who commit violations. It also aims to foster positive interpersonal relationships in the workplace. In practice, this means creating an environment in which every employee, regardless of their position or form of employment, can feel safe and be treated with respect.

Particular emphasis is also placed on preventive measures, such as raising awareness, promoting appropriate attitudes, and continuously monitoring the situation regarding mobbing and discrimination. Consequently, the Procedure is not merely a formal document, but a practical tool that supports the development of a healthy organisational culture.

Implementing the Procedure demonstrates our commitment to developing an institution based on high ethical standards, transparency, and accountability. We believe that it is only in an environment based on trust, equality, and mutual respect that staff can fulfil their potential and achieve ambitious scientific goals.
