Plant and Fungal Systematics receives its first Impact Factor!
We are pleased to announce that Plant and Fungal Systematics (PFS), published by the W. Szafer Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences, has been included in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) for the first time and has received an Impact Factor of 1.1 for 2025.
The history of PFS dates back to 1953, when the journal was established under the title Fragmenta Floristica et Geobotanica. In 2001, it was transformed into Polish Botanical Journal, and since 2018 it has been published under its current title – Plant and Fungal Systematics.
Today, PFS is an international scientific journal publishing open-access research in plant and fungal taxonomy, systematics, phylogeny and evolution, combining classical research approaches with modern molecular and bioinformatic methods.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the development of the journal over the years. Receiving its first Impact Factor marks an important milestone in the history of PFS and opens a new stage in its further development.
