The Ministry of Science and Higher Education has recognised our efforts to document biodiversity
A positive assessment of our management, user access organisation and infrastructure utilisation has secured the National Biodiversity Collection of Recent and Fossil Organisms at W. Szafer Institute of Botany, Polish Academy of Sciences a place on the list of strategic research infrastructures in Poland, among 14 infrastructures in the field of biological, medical and agricultural sciences. After five years, the important role of our Institute as a centre for research and documentation of changes in taxonomic diversity that have taken place over millions of years and are currently observed around the world has been confirmed once again. We therefore have reason to be satisfied!
