Our colleague became a member of the Editorial Board of the scientific journal Persoonia

We are pleased to announce that Dr Marcin Piątek, a mycologist from the Biodiversity and Evolution Group, has joined the Editorial Board of the prestigious scientific journal Persoonia as an Associate Editor. The journal Persoonia, named in honour of Christiaan Hendrik Persoon, considered the father of systematic mycology, is published by the Dutch Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute (WI-KNAW). It is one of the most important international mycological journals publishing works on molecular phylogeny and the evolution of fungi. The prestige of this journal is also evident in its scientometric indicators (IF = 7.3, Q1 according to Web of Science). This is a great honour for our colleague, which emphasizes the recognition of his contribution to the development and scientific activity in the field of mycology.
